What CleverConsult does
CleverConsult builds a consult note in three stages. Everything you have about the patient goes in, the note is drafted from it, and you then add to that same note until it is finished and ready to send.
1. Get your data in
Most clinics work by fax. Every doctor gets their own fax number, and referrals sent to it from your EMR arrive in CleverConsult automatically.
You can also upload documents yourself, either by dragging PDF referrals in, photographing a document and uploading the picture, or typing information straight into the chart.
Clinics on Accuro work differently. The Accuro integration pulls your day sheet and the associated patient information across every morning, so your day is already there when you sit down.
Mix these however suits you. A patient's chart can be built from a faxed referral, a photographed letter and something you typed in yourself, all at once.
CleverConsult then reads all of it and drafts an initial consult note using a template matched to your specialty.
2. Enrich the note
That draft is where the note starts. Three things can build on it, during the appointment or after it.
The AI Scribe records a live consult, or your post-procedure notes, at any point you choose. When you press Done, it transcribes what it heard into the note.
Typing or dictating lets you write into the note yourself. You can type straight into it, or dictate hands-free and watch your words appear as you speak.
A questionnaire collects information from the patient before the appointment, and the answers feed straight into the note.
3. Export
By the time you have finished, everything that fed the note has been combined into one document ready to review, edit and send: the intake, the questionnaire, the scribe and anything you dictated yourself. Sending it goes one of two ways.
Copy and export copies the finished note in one click, formatted and ready to paste into any EMR.
Publish to Accuro sends the note straight back into the patient's chart in Accuro, which skips the copying and pasting altogether.
