AI Scribe

The AI Scribe records what is said and adds it to the consult note. It is one of three ways to enrich a note — the others are typing or dictating and questionnaires.

Use it any time​

The scribe is not restricted to a live appointment. It handles both:

  • A live consult — recorded as it happens, with the patient present.
  • Post-procedure notes — recorded afterwards, dictated as a recollection of what happened.

There is no separate mode for the second case, and no window you have to record within.

Starting and finishing​

  1. Select the patient, so the recording attaches to the right chart.
  2. In the Record Scribe bar, choose the mode:

  1. Run the visit.
  2. Press Done. The recording is transcribed and written into the note.

Nothing appears in the note until you press Done — the transcription happens at the end, not continuously.

Remote and phone visits​

The scribe is not limited to in-person visits — it works for video consults and telephone visits too, with a different setup for each. See Remote and phone visits.
