AI Scribe
The AI Scribe records what is said during an appointment and adds it to the consult note. It is one of three ways to build on a draft, alongside typing or dictating and questionnaires.
You can use it at any point
The scribe works at any point, during a visit or after it. It records a consult as it happens, and it equally handles post-procedure notes dictated afterwards from memory.
Starting and finishing a recording
Begin by selecting the patient, so that the recording attaches itself to the right chart. Then choose a mode in the Record Scribe bar.
Run the visit as you normally would, and when you have finished, press Done. At that point the recording is transcribed and written into the note.
The transcription happens once, at the moment you press Done. Until then the note stays exactly as it was, so an empty note partway through a visit is what you should expect to see.
Remote and phone visits
The scribe works for video consults and telephone visits as well as appointments in the room, although each is set up slightly differently. There is a full explanation in Remote and phone visits.
